Open Question: converting gold wire to doller value?
Im looking to buy gold and the gold coins are over priced based on value of gold soooo im thinking about a more raw form.. gold wire but i need to convert the gold wire (99.999% gold wire) to troy ounces so i can know the gold value of the wire before i buy the wire. so what needs to be done is use the thickness and Diameter of the wire and convert that to troy ounces.

any one know the formula? thanks!
ok i messed up a little bit. instead of word wire change that to disk. like an unstamped coin or cylnder.

ya im going to have to find a way to convert the inches of volume to troys ounces. any one have a formula for that too?
