Open Question: Help me find 8th grade dresses?
My 8th grade dance is in may and i’m not sure what the theme is, but I think it’s gonna be circus.
I’m thinking of wearing a gold dress or red dress, but royal blues, purples, light pinks, and silvers look good on me I don’t want anything too much aka all sequins or crazy colors!
I’m aiming for strapless and short, not long!
I prefer ones with not really poofy bottom halves haha if that make sense!

Open Question: good deal or walk away…? altima vs. fusion?
i currently have a 2006 ford fusion with 92,000 miles on it. it has a pretty good sized dent on driver side back area. it would atleast cost 800-1000 to fix it. its gold with tan leather interior with a sunroof.
im looking at an 2008 altima. its black with black cloth interior. i love altimas and always wanted a black car with black inside. its physically nice & pretty and altimas are supposed to last longer than fords..? but its only the base model. it has 52,000 miles on it. only thing i dont like is it doesnt have leather seats or a sunroof like my current car does. its 13,000. is this a good price?? i would trade my car in for 6,000 and finance the rest for around 225-250 for 3-4 years…
what do u think? i need some advice!!! thanks in advance:)

Open Question: Sims 3 new way to buy?
I was playing Sims 3 Pets and when I went to buy mode for my pregnant sim, there were items in there with a gold rim around them with a gold coin in the bottom right corner with the white simoleon money symbol. Voting Question: trying to sell a 14k, 1ct diamond ring, why is it so hard?
i bought this ring for 2500, the appraisal paper says value is 2650
but i took it into a bunch of jewelry shops today and they said they could only give me $175-$120.

We looked on the Movado home website, and saw that they don’t sell any watches under 501 dollars now, but this one was again, purchased back in 1988, and we have been told by one OTHER jewelry store that doesn’t do appraisals for Movado that a watch that old would predate records from the Movado company. It’s a gold tinted with roman numerals for numbers.

i went to a store called gregorys in virginia and he told me my 18K 5 pennyweight solid gold charm is worth $500, i asked him if thats what i could get for it (of course it wasnt) he offered me $300 for it. i politely declined thinking i’d like to know the true value or get a second opinion as he said he wasn’t familiar with the company. so i too it to a pawn shop for a second opinion as i live in a very small town. they asked me about it and i told them exactly what it was. he tested it 5X and was weary of buying it. i had no idea that he was testing it nor did i know that he was scratching a chunk of gold off my key!!! it’s ruined what was mint and a family antique passed down is worthless as a antique and is basically worth scrap. i was under the impression they had a machine to identify the metal composition and they wouldn’t scratch off the gold! now whats done is done and i’d like to persue legal action against the shop for damages since the item can’t be replaced to my knowledge. if they scratch as much gold off my item as they do everyone else that is stealing and with the price of gold being so high that chunk they got off me is worth something to them even if it is dust now.

how can i seek damages in a court of law. will my case hold merit? and how do i professionally going about filing charges, ive never filed any court papers before.

this item wasn’t in pawn they did not take any sort of ownership of the item. i was just considering offers if i chose to sell it… it just went from my hand to theirs (they damaged it) then made an offer!

i went in today and told him that i noticed the flat edge on the round end of the key and my antique item was ruined. i said you scratched a chunk off of it and he said that’s how they test it. i told him i didn’t know he was scratching it and he ruined it, he said that’s the only way to tell if it’s gold. i stopped him in his tracks and told him that’s not the only way to test for metal composition,.. scratchin is the most ineffective way… he accepted no accountability for his actions. and what was a mint condition piece of jewelry is now ruined and damaged!

let me compare this to another situation i’ve experienced. i was in car sales and a guy came to buy a car with a possible trade in. the mechanic took his car around to “appraise it” and didn’t put on the E brake or have the car in gear. it rolled out and hit another car for sale we had on the lot. GRANTED they managed to cut a hell of a deal before they explained they damaged his car, but what if they couldn’t cut the deal? and the car was his and not sold and the potential buyer damaged the item? this is gold we are talking about and above all an antique family treasure. they damaged my item and do not take responsibility… it’s all i had left from my grandmother. now it’s damaged and i would like to seek damages. me being in such a bad position and being super pissed about the item being ruined now i think it would be worth my time since it’s gold and worth it’s weight to have a case against them.

Open Question: Recurring Dream about a girl?
I’ve been having recurring dreams of a mystery girl for quite some time, now. She has long, blonde hair and green, cat-like eyes. From what I’ve gathered, she’s somewhat rude. She’s stubborn; absolutely hates to lose at anything. She’s a little arrogant, but is indirect about it. Even the way she carries herself makes her appear to see herself above everyone else. She always picks on me in these dreams, that is, when we have the pleasure of actually talking.

I will quickly run through the previous two dreams. I only say these ones because they’re the most vivid and fresh in my mind.

The first one took place in a London Hotel. The hotel was flooding, and guests evacuated to a higher floor. We all sat in a circle of metal collapsible chairs. I looked out the window and saw Big Ben slowly being submerged in water. The London Eye gracefully floated by. Suddenly, the girl stepped in the way of my view. She looked down at me (I was already sitting; she’s shorter than I am) with what was almost a glare, and then sat directly to my left. I couldn’t help but look at her; after all, she is literally my ‘dream girl.’

The second one was much shorter. I was exiting a library near my home when I heard her say “Hey. Boy.” (She calls me ‘Boy.’ Never my real name). We held an aimless conversation for a while, before I noticed that the parking lot was flooded from the nearby river. She didn’t think much of it. A figure claiming to be her mother called her from an old silver car near the water’s edge. We exchanged a short goodbye, and she was gone.

If you haven’t noticed already, a recurring theme with my dreams of her is “flooding.” Now, I would normally add the fact that I never actually touch the water. However, with my latest dream, that pattern is broken.

In the third dream, I’m standing on a hill. In the distance, a busy town with skyscrapers and tall buildings stood; condensed in a seemingly small area. Beside me stood a friend (not a real friend; one who appeared nowhere but in my dream). He was really excited, and he was saying something. I realized now that I couldn’t hear anything in my dream. I could kind of sense what messages they were saying, though. This friend kept mentioning a problem of mine, and how he’d figured out a way to solve it. He was pretty gung-ho about it, but I wasn’t, because I had forgotten to tell him an important detail. Upon telling him, his shoulders slouched, and I could swear he grew shorter.
I then turned behind me, and I saw Eva. I assume that she had said something, thus causing me to turn. She wasn’t in her usual attire (see “Distant Dream: Color” for a view of her usual outfit). Instead, she wore a black cloak and a witch hat. She bore an evil grin. She apparently offered to help me with my problem, if I gave her my eternal loyalty. In other words, I would become her “slave boy” of sorts (more like an unpaid butler). The friend jumped up and down; telling me that she was an evil witch who would only lie and trick me. I didn’t care though, because in this dream, I recognized her as the Dream Girl. He continued talking, until he apparently vanished. I looked down, but I saw what appeared to be a completely white ferret in his place. I assumed that the girl had turned him into a rodent. Oddly enough, I didn’t care in the slightest. I turned back to her and agreed to her conditions. She raised her right arm, as the moon grew large behind her. She appeared as a silhouette due to it’s bright light. In seconds, the moon gave off a purplish light, and what appeared to be a waterfall sent crashing water down onto her. I braced myself. My friend, now the ferret, was washed away in the heavy currents. The city in the distance crumbled, and its pieces were also washed away. I stopped bracing myself when I realized that the girl and I still stood unaffected. We could breathe, talk, and do anything anyone could when not underwater. I looked back to the city. Certainly, thousands had died because of this. I didn’t care, though. I felt refreshed; as if my problem had been washed away. I turned back to the girl, who lowered her arm to offer me her hand. Slowly, I approached her and took her hand firmly. I was preparing to kneel and kiss her hand like a chivalrous fellow when I finally awoke.

Thank you, if you’ve read this far. It would take a lot of patience.
Basically, this dream was certainly the odd one out thus far. The girl had appeared even more evil than usual, though I didn’t, and still do not mind. This time, I was actually in the flood waters along with the girl. This time, I actually saw how the flood affected the lives of people nearby. This time, I took her hand and practically sold her my eternal soul. I understand how crazy this will sound, but if I could give her my soul again, I would do it without any hesitation.
The fourth dream was even odder.
The dream began unnoticed. I felt like I was awake, playing a Gameboy Advanced game; The Legend of Zelda; Minish Cap. I entered the Simulation building, where you were hypnotized and put into a dream where you fought monsters for prizes. However, the transition between game and dream was weird. Purple stripes went across the screen, and then everything went dark.
From the darkness, a character not in the game faded into view. It was certainly the girl who has been in my last dozens of dreams and mini-dreams. She wore a pink frilly dress, and her blonde hair dragged on the ground behind her. Her green eyes, though dot-like due to pixelation, gave an odd feel. She only faded half-into view, the white frills on her pink dress were gray in color. She jumped up and down a few times before a text box appeared:
“NICHOLAS… GO NOW AND DO AS I’VE INSTRUCTED.”
Slowly, the girl faded away in the same manner she’d come in.
The screen faded back
to the room. However, the usual man there was gone, and the room was empty. The animation of my character waking up took effect, except it was different. The character looked more like me now; with short, dark-brown hair and matching eyes. He wore a black band jacket with faded silver buttons; much like the one I wear on a nice day. Automatically, I exited the building.
The town had changed. Not only was it nighttime, but the layout of the town was different. In front of the simulation building, there was a river that curved right just ahead. Across the river was a house. After swimming across, I entered.
Inside, down a few slights of stairs, an elderly woman stood in a small empty room. She wore reds and purple, and when I spoke, she only said:
“…”
I left soon after, and upon coming outside, I saw the dream-girl again. She stood next to a cucco (for those not familiar with the game, it is a chicken) and said:
“NOW.”
She faded away rather quickly. I walked leisure

Open Question: Possibly buying a second hand Peugeot, are they reliable cars?

I want a gold coin, US but I don’t need an expensive one just maybe 10$ or something, o just wanna have possession of one lol

Voting Question: Anyone know how much this coin is worth?
My friend and I share a coin collection. Recently, my friend’s grandmother gave him a big jar of old coins. Most of the coins have dates and everything, but one of them has no date and looks very very old.
One side of it says ‘Gold Cob Pistole’ and the other side has a cross and a bunch of fancy designs. The edges of it are uneven and it looks like the coin was smushed when it was made (not quite sure how to describe that).
The coin is not magnetic, either.
We washed the coin under water, then my friend made me bite it (it was disgusting!) and my teeth made marks in it. The marks were shiny and golden colored - perhaps it is gold.
I looked on the internet and I can’t find any information about it. Could someone help us out?

My apologies for the length, it takes a while to explain. I just know allot of dumb facts.
Oh, and the use of water for the witch was significant as well. It refers to the drought that was being suffered (and the best way to shut them up was by giving them water).

Open Question: How much is my coin worth?
I found a 1959 penny and It has a die block/Cud error and the it has a wide 195 9.
I call it the “Berty” penny because the LI in Liberty is missing.

Open Question: Why are people giving me a hard time about this?
I found an 1898 Morgan silver dollar when I went hiking a couple months ago. It was cool to have for a bit and I’m perfectly aware of the fact that it’s worth a little more than just a dollar now. I didn’t want to sell it, so I gave it to one of my friends who collects coins and he’s so passionate about collecting coins, it’s insane and I don’t know…I admire that about him. He was willing to pay me but , my thought was that even though I knew there was some value to it, I just didn’t want money for it or anything because it didn’t mean much to me, and I knew it would’ve meant a lot to him. The problem lies in the fact that some of my other friends don’t really like the coin- collecting friend and I got questioned why I’d be so nice to him and why would I just give away something that’s worth at least a little bit. One of my friends hasn’t been talking to me much lately since….
