My best friend, Lacey Reid is seriously scatty. She is cool, she is kind, she is funny and sweet but she is a major ditz. She always has been ever since she marched into my year seven classroom 2 years ago, with mismatching socks, one earring, a price tag on her hemmed plaid skirt and a day dreamy look in her big blue eyes. Today, in Year Nine, we are no longer scrambling year sevens, in too big blazers and squeaky clean shoes and darting eyes. No, we’re big Year Nines in short skirts and high tops. I wave to Lacey as she glides toward me with a shiny smile in her blue sparkling eyes framed by long brown eyelashes. She dances up to me and grabs my arm, one hand with Passionfruit Purple nail polish, the other with Peachy Cream.
“Lauren! Hey! Oh my gosh, you will never guess what Stacy Burrows just told me!” She squeals as she drags me to the school, giggling.
“Whoa, Lace, what’s this?” I say faking exasperation gesturing to her earrings. One is a bright, big toucan and the other is a pink flamingo. Lacey’s hand absently floats up to her earlobe.
“Oops,” she giggles. “Oh well, it will probably just start a trend.” She winks at me and continues gushing on about whatever Stacy Burrows told her. It’s probably true. About the trend, I mean. Aside from being scatty, Lace is a trendsetter. She is popular and nice and girls at our school generally follow her fashions….even when there an accident! We mooch up to school, clutching each others arms and giggling about the latest gossip. We trot into our homeroom and plunk down, side by side in our blue plastic chairs. Lacey immediately starts gushing to the girls behind us about her hairstyle.
“It’s adorable! Why didn’t you tell me you were cutting your hair? Was it a surprise? I love surprises! Were you scared? I hate getting my haircut; you never know how it’ll turn out…” Lacey doesn’t have to worry about her hair in my opinion. Its big, soft chestnut curls a bit past her shoulders and a full fringe hanging down cutely past her eyebrows. It’s cute and bouncy, and fun. Just like Lacey. My hairs thin and straight and blonde and its down to my chest. Its simple but I quite like it. I can do a lot of things with it, braiding it and making little twists and zigzagging parts with cute clips and sparkly hair accessories. Lacey always wistfully tugs at it saying she wishes she could tame her hair to do such things with it. Like she really has to worry. Her hairs gorgeous. Mr Clive strides in with big steps and reaches his desk within 4 steps. He shuffles through his papers and clears his throat as us girls slip into our spots, with a few last slams of lockers and exchanging of homework papers that sleepyheads are copying hurriedly. As Mr Clive drones through the bulletin and reminders, Lacey nudges me with her eyes forward passing me half a stick of gum. I nudge her a thankyou and start chewing, the fresh minty taste refreshing me. Lacey and I have been best friends since year seven. I’m so lucky to have her. All through primary school I went through terrible friendships and then suddenly, on the first day of high school, Lacey Reid wanders into Seven Silver looking like she might have come by accident and sits next to me, smiling. And ever since then our friendship was sealed. We liked so many things alike and we disagreed on the right amount of things. We could make each other laugh by just looking at each other, often laughing for absolutely no reason.
“There go the giggling girls” teachers would say as we’d stagger past them in the hallways laughing until our sides ached.

Open Question: Which pokemon game in GBA can be compared to Pokemon Gold?
I’ve just recently found old GBA emulator in my system.
The phone number feature in Pokemon Gold is simply marvelous to me. It allows trainers to have rematch, exchanging information when I’m too lazy to look at Pokemon facts in Bulbapedia, and gain more money to buy items at mart.
Is there any pokemon game in GBA that has this system aside from silver and crystal?
I’m currently playing Pokemon Sapphire
