Voting Question: Is our present concept of money flawed?
Is our present concept of money flawed? It is generally accepted that money evolved from a system of barter involving the exchange of goods of intrinsic or inherent value, latterly the use of scarce metals like silver and gold.

As a result of political tinkering over a period of time money has nowadays become token-based controlled completely by bankers and politicians. Should we return to a system where money has real value?

Voting Question: Will someone please critique the first part of my memoir about learning to drive?
I had never set behind the wheel of a car until early winter and that was just the way that I liked it. I guess that you could call me lazy. I enjoyed not having to deal with the constant stress of driving. I loved to watch the world by as I was being escorted by family and friends. This mindset changed, however, somewhere around my sixteenth birthday.
“Come on! Come on!” my mother yelled as she pushed me towards the front door.
“It’s freezing outside! We’ve already opened all of the presents! What more could there possibly be to see?” I replied.
“You’ll see,” she answered with a wide grin on her face.
It was about eight o’clock on a very cold Christmas night. My family and I had filled up our bellies full of delicious food and exchanged all of our presents… or so I thought.
My mother opened up the front door and yelled “Merry Christmas!” I was in total shock. My jaw dropped at what I saw. Sitting in my front yard was a silver Volts Wagon Bug complete with a sunroof, custom interior, and very flashy rims. I was completely speechless as I ran my hand along the outside of the car. The only thing on my wish list this year was new clothing so getting a Bug came as a complete surprise to me. I immediately ran up to my mom and dad and yelled “Thank you!”
My birthday is in January so I unfortunately did not have a permit to drive that night. Even though I was somewhat disappointed that I couldn’t drive my new car, I hopped into the driver’s seat.
“What do you think?” my mother questioned.
“It’s perfect!” I replied with excitement. “This is the exact car that I wanted!”
A month or so later, after weeks of preparation, I took my permit test and passed with flying colors. Now that I had a permit, I could finally drive my new car. My mother and I could at last set a date to being my driving lessons.
