Open Question: I have a little bit of a math question here. I really need help!?
you have a gallon jar, filled with coins, and weighs 31 lbs, 8 oz. 1,038 coins are nickels, 1 coin is a gold dollar, 19 coins are pennies, 9 coins are silver dollars, and the rest are dimes, quarters, and half dollars, how much money do you have? I’m not sure how many dimes, quarters, and half dollars there are, which is throwing us off. Maybe just assume that they all weigh equally? so far we got 181 dollars, but we’re not sure. Please help! its just for a guessing game, but it’s super important :) you have a gallon jar, filled with coins, and weighs 31 lbs, 8 oz. 1,038 coins are nickels, 19 coins are pennies, 9 coins are silver dollars, and the rest are dimes, quarters, and half dollars, how much money do you have? Open Question: How does one remove solder from a gold coin (US Indian Head Dollar) and is it worth the effort?
We have an Indian Gold Dollar that was made into a stick pin.
The pin appears to be nickle and is soldered dead center on the reverse of the coin.
I’m almost positive it is a type III dollar, but I can’t see the mint mark or the year (coin is15mm in diameter).
There is very little wear on the coin on the front or what I can see of the reverse.
QUESTION (s):
1) is it worth the effort to remove the pin and solder as best I can { I’m thinking 500′ oven and de-soldering braid} and then have a real jeweler chemically remove the rest?
2) Could I eliminate the jeweler and do the chemical cleaning myself (and how do I do that)?
3) Should I forget this project and just take the $45-50 I’d get for it as scrap?

I’m not a numismatist, but I think this coin (if it were not jewelery) would be rated “very fine” or better.

Open Question: Is money of the devil? Did the fallen angels teach men to make coins from gold?
In the dead sea scrolls ,”tales of the patriarchs” It says that the fallen angels that also mated with the daughters of man in Genesis 5 taught men magic and how to create monsters and medicine, and taught them to make coins from gold. In the original scenerio God wanted man to live in the garden. Even until the time of Abraham, holy men understood that God wanted us to live in simple farming and herder communities. Considering that you cannot find the invention of money in the bible( you can find a first mention of money, but no page shows God telling man “I want you to come up with a form of currency to use against each other”) should we believe that the fallen ones gave it to us? What is the purpose of money ,except to keep track of how much somebody owes you? Wouild a holy man of God keep track of how much the old widow owed him for chopping her wood, or would he gladly help the orphan and the widow , just because it’s nice to do it and because God told us to. Even as God established perimeters for money like the tithe. The Aaronic priests were supposed to use 10% of the haul (tithe) for operation of the temple and the priests share, then give the other 90% to the poor , such as had need. What would that do to a small community (mathematically speaking) if the rich gave money to the priest and the priest turned around and gave the money to the poor? wouldn’t that kind of balance out the finanncial levels in that community? Is it any wonder that the devil will use money as his primary weapon against man (the mark of the beast) in his 2nd to last appearance
