Resolved Question: Would Liberals Ever Support Ending the FED?
Liberal progressive Democrat Woodrow Wilson gave us the Federal Reserve Banking System and I know how liberals look with admiration to President Wilson for his massive expansion of Federal government power and control. Further, I suppose liberals also appreciate the massive power and secrecy the FED enjoys in it’s issuance of fiat currency instead of what the Founding Father’s intended with Article One of the United States Constitution “To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures”.

I am hopeful liberals could channel their disdain for massive,all powerful Federal Reserve banks into an understanding of our fiat money system and at least consider what Thomas Jefferson said; “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”

I wonder if liberal’s admiration of Woodrow Wilson’s gift of the Federal Reserve Bank and the IRS could be changed into a desire to return our money system to the gold and silver coin standard that worked so well?

this is an answer to a question
i live in Eastern Europe. i like the States. i’ve always looked up to you people. the Statue of Liberty and stuff. when i was a kid i watched a cartoon called “An American Tale”. (a story about immigrants to America from Eastern Europe) and it has been my life’s dream to end up in America, in some suburban neighbourhood (like the one in Desperate Housewives).i’m gay so i support gay rights, although i see no reason to force other people who like privacy to come out. but i’m beginning to have doubts, i’m seriuosly beginning to have doubts. (this message is going to be long). first of all Americans think that people all over the world are dum, and that they (Americans) can get away with anything. your country has been going from bad to worse. and now i fear that it is going from worse to worst. when i was a kid i thought there was no racism in America. lol then i realized that even actors such as Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman etc do experience it. and it came as a total surprise - tough Condoleeza Rice (hiding in her home during the 60’s when sb blew up a church with black girls). i recently joined YA and was shocked to find out all this prejudice against homosexuals. (religion is so much ingrained in American society. people use it as a tool to fight against homosexuality) in general you Americans only care about money, most Americans don’t have any real friends (or probably you don’t how to keep friends) that’s why you spend much of your time making psychologists pretty rich. hurricane in New Orleans (our newspapers had a field day. Americans rush to help other countries when disaster strikes, but the US gov is helpless when it comes to New Orleans, the cradle of Jazz music. Madoff stealing money. oh, and health insurance! when i understood what it was all about, i was double shocked. the only 1 class nation that doesn’t have health care insurance for all, what a shame. America has meddled in Vietnam, Africa (i’m of African heritage) and Iraq (ancient Babylon and Mesopotamia) and Afghanistan. you people do not give a rat’s **** about democracy. it’s all about the money and the oil. don’t think people all over the world are dum and don’t understand your true nature and double standards. and lastly. long live Marlon Brando! i recently watched the Oscars. and had this great urge to watch past Oscars. and so ended up watching 1972 (Marlon Brando accepting an Oscar for Best Actor) and there was controversy we all know about. and i realized that you Americans have almost wiped out all the indigenous Indians from the surface of the Earth. so look what we have at the end of the day. would i be willing to go to the States? i don’t think so. i’m disappointed. i see myself as Pinocchio who thought it was gold coins in front of him, but then found out to his utter dismay that it was yellowing autumn leaves. America - the land where dreams come true! is that a myth?
